In Innsbruck’s old town, at the Golden Roof, Christian Falsnaes will break down the barriers between artist and audience with a unique performance that actively involves spectators as well as unsuspecting visitors and passers-by. Through clear instructions, he creates moments of spontaneous interaction and makes the reactions of the participants a central component of his work. Falsnaes’ performance invites us to reflect on individual and collective patterns of behavior and to question our own role in the dynamics of control and participation.
Christian Falsnaes has previously presented his work at National Gallery of Denmark, Copenhagen; Kunsthalle Wien; Centre Pompidou, Paris; and Manifesta 11, Zurich.
