Olivia Mitterhuemer and Farah Deen are freelance house dancers and choreographers, and the founders of the internationally renowned Salzburg street dance festival Flavourama. As part of INNSBRUCK INTERNATIONAL, they will lead a house dance masterclass followed by a talk. The session kicks off with an introduction to the history and cultural roots of house music, then moves into practical work on groove, basic steps, and cyphering as formats for improvisation and exchange. A short choreography concludes the training. The subsequent talk offers insight into the duo’s artistic trajectories, their festival work, international networks, and approaches to sustainable community practice.
